It is the main entrance to Machupicchu following the old Inca trail from Cusco, from Inti Punku you will have the first view of Machupicchu if you do the Inca trail for 2, 4 or 5 days.

It is located at 2745 meters high and you can also reach this place from Machupicchu as an alternative circuit, and it takes about 1 hour to get to Inti Punku.

Keep in mind the Inti Puku means: sun gate. Culturally the sun is the father of the Inkas and historically the sun was described as god but in the Inka language (runasimi) the word god does not exist, being the father of all there were gates everywhere to reach the father sun.
Knowing this, there are other places with more difficult access and more remote locations that are also tourist attractions with the name of Inti Punku.
