It is an official stop on the classic city tour in Cusco. It was an important administrative center during the Inka era, with water sources for travelers who passed through the wide Inca road that is at the gates of Pucapucara.

The building has a characteristic Inka-style gate, with a large semi-circular building on top of a rock formation, it also has more constructions around and embedded in the rock formation, which makes this place more mysterious in conjunction with the landscapes of the mountains that surround the city of Cusco.
