Ausangate Trek – Executive

We will leave Cusco towards Ausangate following the direction of the southern valley, in this part of the journey we will visit Pikillacta, an archaeological center older than the Inka evidence, with a city of 2 square kilometers and Andahuaylillas, a colonial church full of artistic works in gold, These visits prior to the Ausangate trek adventure will help us better understand the history of the place that will create unforgettable moments in our journey. We will arrive at the Upis camp (4437 m) where we will meet our entire team for the expedition. After lunch we will begin the adventure trekking to visit Upiscocha and be impressed by the Apu Ausangate.

With the dry landscape typical of the Andes (Puna) we will begin the immersion in the mountains, once we pass the first step all contact with civicization will be lost, Arapa Pass is at 4800 m and from that place we will have intact natural landscapes and epic. Descending we will reach the place between rocks where we will have lunch, in the afternoon the road will take us between mountains and lagoons to Pucacocha

Having more experience in the Andean territory, this day we will cross 2 passes: Puca pass (4870 m) and Warmisaya pass (5050 m). It is on this day where we begin to deviate from the traditional circuit of Ausangate trek with the purpose of increasing our experience with the rainbow mountain, lunch will be between the 2 passes, after the fascinating benefits of nature we will descend to the Yanacocha camp (4487) and enjoy of epic memories.

We will start the morning directly to the rainbow mountain, because being a trendy destination it is filled with thousands of visitors who leave at 3 am. from Cusco. We will enjoy the first rays of the day in this fascinating place with a surprising setting of mountains around us, we will also visit the red valley to complete our trend experience. Ascents and descents will be part of our destination to reach Quesouno (lunch), from where the path will be gradual between 2 mountains to return to the Ausangate trek circuit, we will camp at Ausangate Cocha (4700 m).

After having recharged our energy in Ausangate Cocha, we will begin the day’s adventure by ascending the Palomani Pass, which is the closest point to the Apu Ausangate glaciers. After this unique experience with the cold, the rest of the way will be a descent to the Huchuyphinaya camp.

With a path of gradual ascent, mountains and more glaciers appear in the distance, the space between the mountains will also expand because they are glaciers no larger than Ausangate but more extensive. In these places it is very likely that we will see groups of vicuñas, American camelodos They have the most expensive fiber in the world. With a short trek we will arrive at Campa, where we will have lunch and camp as well.

We will continue with the gradual ascent, this time it will be the last pass of the entire circuit and also the highest, when we reach Campa (5400 m) pass we will also be saying goodbye to the high mountains of the Andes mountain range, but the surprises will still continue. , ahead we will have more lagoons to visit with mysteries that will blow your mind. Upon arriving at the camp we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will visit the famous circuit: 7 lagoons.
