Executive Service

A transformative journey to Peru’s last Inka sanctuary, where adventure meets executive comfort in pristine wilderness.

Choquequirao – the legendary “Cradle of Gold” – stands as Peru’s last great Inca sanctuary,
This carefully curated Choquequiraw trek blends challenging Andean trails with premium services
– from gourmet altitude cuisine to private canyon-view campsites –
all designed to facilitate IntiTravel’s therapeutic vision: reconnection through meaningful engagement with history and nature.

Overview

Choquequirao stands apart as one of National Geographic’s top global destinations – a secluded archaeological treasure in the Apurímac Canyon, the Andes’ deepest gorge and condor habitat.
This is where executive travelers find both physical challenge and profound renewal amidst glacial peaks, hidden waterfalls, and the Inka empire’s final stronghold.

More than just avoiding crowds, this journey offers privileged access to Choquequirao’s “Cradle of Gold” – not in precious metal, but in the invaluable ancestral wisdom etched into its terraces and temples.
Our expert-guided journey follows original Inka pathways, revealing how this strategic sanctuary speaks volumes about ancient Peruvian resilience and harmony with mountain ecosystems.

The result? A journey that challenges the body while renewing perspective, set against some of Peru’s most spectacular and least-visited landscapes.

We will pick you up in the morning and drive for 5 hours. Once we arrive at the entrance control (Capulilloq) we will start the hike, after a few minutes the bumpy road will take us to the viewpoint of the Apurimac Canyon and the imposing presence of the Andes will give us the best opening of our adventure. We will see glaciers, Chouqequiraw in the distance, distant mountains, and with a little luck, condors above us. From this place we will descend to the Apurimac River and we will know why they gave this name to the river. It will be very hot and dry. From the river we will start the ascent to Santa Rosa Camp and the night will be unique with the Milky Way illuminating us.
