For the discerning traveler seeking exclusivity and transformation, discover South America’s ultimate wilderness experience.
Our Choquequirao trek – the legendary “Cradle of Gold” you have to earn – unveils the last untouched Inca sanctuary, blending luxury with raw adventure in Peru’s dramatic landscapes.

This executive trek redefines high-altitude exploration with campsites, Andean cuisine, and discreet expert support, facilitating IntiTravel.Org’s signature blend of achievement and renewal self therapy.

Overview

Ranked by Condé Nast Traveler among the world’s most rewarding treks, Choquequirao offers pristine nature, cultural authenticity, and privileged solitude.

This is where expedition meets excellence—where every rugged step through the Andes is matched by unparalleled service in the wild.
The Apurímac Canyon route – deeper than the Grand Canyon – delivers thrilling ascents and descents, revealing the Inka’s final stronghold.

Executives disconnect to reconnect here. Amid cloud forests and alpine terrain, physical accomplishment brings mental clarity.
Our guides, trained in archaeology and wilderness therapy, illuminate the Inca’s architectural genius,
offering lessons in resilience and adaptation.

Choquequiraw trek

The trek follows the rhythm of the mountains—demanding climbs rewarded with hidden waterfalls and ancient ruins untouched by crowds.
Our expert guides, trained in both Inca history and wilderness first aid, ensure each challenge is met with confidence.
IntiTravel.Org’s therapeutic approach lies in the journey itself: the accomplishment of traversing raw terrain, the clarity that comes with disconnection, and the quiet awe of standing where the Inca’s final stronghold once thrived.

Mornings start with specialty coffee, served alongside gourmet breakfasts designed to fuel the day’s ascent.
Evenings bring chef-prepared meals featuring organic Andean ingredients, all enjoyed in our exclusive campsites positioned for cinematic canyon views.

This is not just a trek—it’s a recalibration. The luxury here isn’t in avoiding the wild, but in experiencing it fully, with every detail refined for those who expect more.
By the time you reach Choquequirao’s sunlit terraces, you’ll understand why this remains Peru’s most rewarding—and rarest—adventure.

We will pick you up in the morning and drive for 5 hours. Once we arrive at the entrance control (Capulilloq) we will start the hike, after a few minutes the bumpy road will take us to the viewpoint of the Apurimac Canyon and the imposing presence of the Andes will give us the best opening of our adventure. We will see glaciers, Chouqequiraw in the distance, distant mountains, and with a little luck, condors above us. From this place we will descend to the Apurimac River and we will know why they gave this name to the river. It will be very hot and dry. From the river we will start the ascent to Santa Rosa Camp and the night will be unique with the Milky Way illuminating us.
