The train takes us to Chachabamba (KM 104) where the Inca Trail checkpoint is located. Today we will explore archaeological sites with an incredible destination. We will follow the trail uphill, enriching ourselves with landscapes and finally we will arrive at Wiñaywayna, the most amazing archaeological site of the Inca Trail. In the afternoon, the easiest part through the mountains will take us to Intipunku (Sun Gate) where we will have the scenery with Machupicchu in the middle of it. Then we will take the bus down to the city of Aguas Calientes.

– Distance: 104 km. by train, 11 km. Inca Trail.

– Maximum altitude: 2720 m Intipunku

– Minimum altitude: 2040 m Aguas Calientes city.

– Accessibility: Train, Inca Trail and bus

– Level of difficulty: Moderate

– Activities: Adventure – Inca Trail, Visit to archaeological sites: Chachabamba, Wiñaywayna, Intipunku, Machupicchu, Scenic, Bird Watching, Orchids, Cultural and Historical.

– Overnight: Hotel in Aguas Calientes

The most awaited day has arrived! We will visit Machupicchu, the emblem of our culture, and live an experience that will take us back to the time of the Incas, surrounded by the beauty of the surrounding mountains, with a unique mystical panorama. We will take one of the buses that will take us to the historical sanctuary of Machupicchu and then have lunch at the Tinkuy Belmond Restaurant located next to Machupicchu. In the afternoon we take the train back to Cusco.

– Minimum altitude: 2040 m in the village of Aguas Calientes.
